To get si-to be the pati- the king-maiden who is longing for him. Worshipping her gives concentration to the mind.
The second of the nava shaktis of Maa Durga is the form of ‘Brahmachara-hini’. In this case ‘Brahma’ means penance. ‘Brahmachara-hini’ means the penance-river. ‘Vedastatta-vanta tapobrahma’- -‘Brahma’ means veda, tattva and tapasya. Brahmachari- The form of The Goddess is completely jyotirmaya-mu, very auspicious and beautiful. The goddess is wearing a rosary in her right hand and a kamandala in her left hand.
🌷History:
Parvati, the daughter of Himavanta, is this brahmachari- The Goddess. In order for her to become the pati of Parameswarana- she follows narada’s instruction and performs severe penance. It is because of this strict penance that the name ‘tapascharina-i’, i.e., ‘brahmachara-tini’, is established. In the tapascarika-la she spends years eating only the fruit and the roots of the kanda. It practices penance for a few more years, eating only the pasture, and for a few more years, drying up in the sun, drenched in the rain, and after practicing such a rigorous penance, it accepts only the dry leaves that have fallen on the ground for many more years. Slowly, she stopped eating the dry leaves and became ‘Aparna’ and for a long time practiced terrible penance without even touching food and water.
Because of this long period of rigorous penance, the body of the brahmachari-ni devi is completely destroyed. Her mother, Mena Devi, is deeply saddened by her condition. To turn her back from this harsh penance, the mother of ‘U Maa’ – ‘Baby! The name of brahmachari-ni devi is popularly known as ‘Uma’ because it is pronounced ‘Valadu, Valadu’.
– Because of the terrible penance performed by The Goddess, the three worlds and the hahakaras will break out. The gods, the rishis, the Siddhas, the sages, etc., all of them praise her by saying that she is not aware of her penance. No one has ever practiced such a rigorous penance. It’s possible for you to- . Thy transcendental penance is praised all over the world. Your desire will be fulfilled to the fullest extent. Chandramoulia, the Supreme Lord, will necessarily be thy wife. Now give up penance and return home. Soon your father will take you home and come to come.”
This second form is anantaphalaphara-mu for the devotees and the Siddhas. By worshipping her, asceticism, sacrifice, renunciation, sadacara and restraint develop in human beings. No matter what the ups and downs in life, the minds of those who are blessed with the grace of the Goddess do not turn away from the change of duty. By the grace of brahmachari- the mother of the world, the upasakas will have sarvatra siddhi and victories. On the second day of Durga Navarra-Tri Puja- her form is worshipped. On this day the mind of the seeker is fixed in the chakra of Svadhistha-na. In this chakra, a yogi with a fixed mind is worthy of her grace. His devotion to her will be strengthened.
