Sri Maha Vishnu – the Preserver who saves and sustains life, took various forms of life to thrive on earth. Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam (SVS) is the most effective sacred verse offering prayers to Maha Vishnu which has a thousand names embedded in 108 slokas. Done with pure devotion and perseverance, it bestows an abundance of blessings from the supreme God and it sets us free from the fear of poverty, disease, birth, and death. We gain a higher consciousness that makes us understand God better, and towards introspection and meditation. It absolves us of sins from the past life and current; helps us on the path of virtue and to become enlightened. It helps bring us closer to the Supreme Being and attain Moksha (salvation) in the afterlife.
SriRajaRajeshwari (SRR) Peetham is offering the classes to the students to recite the SVS with Vedic rules applied and with minimal mistakes. The learning process involves 10-12 slokas per class, helps students to chant and understand the meaning for every name of Lalitha devi in sahasra names, which takes minimum 3 months for teaching and a month for practice to get the fluency.
